Key Features

Power

The Tacklife is a very powerful  Planer, delivering up to 16,500 rpm and is able to plane 2mm. Many corded versions can manage 4mm so you would need to run over twice with this model.

This wouldn't put me off as you would be paying about 3 or 4 times the price to get the 4mm.

Planing

This cordless planer delivers fast stock removal at a width of 82mm and will remove 2mm at a time. 82mm is a pretty standard size and you wouldn't really need anything wider than this. It's ideal for trimming doors and other surfaces leaving a very smooth finish.

The front and rear shoe milled in situ and this gives increased accuracy

Dust extraction

The dust bag catches 90% of the dust and is easy and clean to empty. The bag is a bit bulky to carry around but its totally worth the hassle as there is very little cleaning up to be done after.

You can also connect this directly into a vacuum and I much prefer this option. It's also very handy that you can extract the dust both sides.

Flexibilty

This planer is light to carry and use. It can be left in your tool box and is ready to go at any time. It's brilliant for awkward jobs and is surprisingly quiet.

A very quick video review

We have looked over all the video reviews and found this great short presentation on this Tacklife power tool. It gives you an instant idea of what to expect as well as telling you all the features and spec in and easy to understand format.

I hope you enjoy watching it as I always think its much better to see a tool in action rather than just reading about it or seeing pictures. This guy is particularly good at explaining the features of the cordless planer and he is well known for demonstrating tools.

Our Verdict on the Tacklife Cordless Planer

Absolutely brilliant tool that is getting some of the best reviews and ratings that I have ever seen. There have been hundreds of buyers and this is really a brilliant budget tool.

It is really a pleasure to work with. Light, flexible and has plenty of power.

I would say that this is perfect for DIY and is exactly the right price for a handy tool that is used occassionally.
