I know this isn't actually a full set but it's the best selling burr tool at the minute and I thought I would add it in here. Its a great tool for removing material quickly and you can use some of the finer tools to finish the job.

Rotary Burr Set Buying Tips

So a few things you need to know about these sets. Firstly there are different types of burr for different materials and actions.

Single cut burrs have a right handed spiral flute. These tend to be used with stainless steel and for metal in general. They will remove material quickly and they will leave a pretty smooth finish.

Double cut carbide burrs tend to be used on plastics and wood although they do still work on metal. Because they have more cutting edges they will leave a smoother finish and usually work much quicker. These are the most popular types of burrs.

The shanks are usually found in the following shank sizes:

1.6mm or 1/16"
2.35mm or 3/32"
3mm or 1/8"
6mm or 1/4"

The smaller the shank is then the faster the RPM needs to be for the burr to work well. For instance a 16mm shank needs to rotate around 25000 RPM and a 6mm will work best around 15000RPM, so keep this in mind when you are buying your set.

Lastly, when you are using these tools there are a few basics. Dont use too much pressure and try to keep the burr on the move as much as possible. You will get some tips in the video below.
