This mitre saw gets strong and consistent online reviews. As Geoff mentioned earlier, this is a Makita saw so good quality is assured. I wouldn't let the few neagative reviews put me off. From my experience all Makita products are top quality and the manufacturers support has always been great if I ever had an issue.
This is a good choice for baseboard and crown moulding instalation, carpenters, cabinet and furniture makers, wooden floor installers, decking, general construction and more. Its really a good all round saw.

This is a 216 mm compound saw that has soft start, a soft grip handle, a built in laser guide and also an LED job light. There is a sliding sub fence on the left hand side only, and comes with a carrying handle for easy transport.

Feature Bevel, Mitre & Compound
Cross and rip cutting are the basics, but being able to make bevel and mitre cuts makes the saw really versatile
The maximum depth of cut at 90° is 65mm with a stock width of 305mm. The mitre range is 45° to 60°. At 45° bevel angle and at 45° mitre angle, the depth of cut is a useful 50mm with a stock width of 215mm
