Blue Spot 26143 16oz Claw Hammer UK Review
This is our review of the affordable Blue Spot 26143 16oz Claw Hammer. For under £6 this is one of the cheapest hammers that you can find on the UK market. This is what is classed as a normal sized hammer, and it has a 70% fibreglass handle, with a hardened steel head.
This one is classed as a professional hammer, but it is ideal for someone who simply wants to have a general purpose hammer around the home. It is cheap at around £6, and it will be able to do any task that requires a bit of hammering.
You can see from the image above, that this one has a nice grip on it, and according to many of the buyer reviews, it feels well balanced, and does not vibrate a great deal when being used. The claw on this one, although not perfect, will certainly be able to pull out nails easily enough.

Our Verdict on the Blue Spot 26143 16oz Claw Hammer
For under £6, it is certainly affordable for most people. This is not the roughest, toughest hammer in the world. It will however easily cope with all the basic tasks and jobs that you have to around the home.
It is not suitable for professionals or for those who plan on doing a whole range of home projects. This hammer is basic with no real frills. There is a little flex in the handle, which personally I do not like. The claw end of the hammer is just OK, but nails can catch in it, and be hard to budge.

For 90% of people this one will do the job, but consider a different one if you plan on doing a lot of work that requires hammering. It came out at number three on our top 5 list of claw hammers, so it is certainly good enough for most people.
