As I mentioned in the introduction, this model came out number ten on our list of the top 10 corded angle grinders. You might think that this alone is a good reason not to choose this model and you would be correct in my opinion.

It is a low range priced unit and there is no doubt it is excellent value for money when you buy it on offer. If you aren't intending to use this tool every day or just want it for the occasional job then this angle grinder might just do your job.

With an angle grinder, safety is very important and this model comes with a no tool needed, adjustable disc guard and that is essential with this type of powerful tool. Also the switch can be locked in for long periods of use.

It is hard to know what to say about this angle grinder. Its not an instantly recognisable brand but it seems well made and half the buyers really liked it. Its the other half that are putting us off it !

Value for money

Half the buyers said this angle grinder was a top quality piece of machinery and it has loads of 5 star reviews. Unfortunately an unacceptable number people have had trouble with the motor and 20% of all buyers thought it was rubbish. I would be hard pushed to recommend this unit with these sort of stats.

Really you would be taking a big chance buying this unit. It may well do your job as it has for others but I find it frustrating to work with unreliable or low quality tools. I personally wouldn't be taking a chance on a unit with a proven 20% fail rate.

I wont waste much more time on it. Keep away from it unless you like a gamble!

This unit came in at number 10 on our list of top ten angle grinders. The buyer reviews confirm why that would be the case. There are of course, no really bad grinders in our top ten but we are scared for the reliability on this one.

You don't always need to pay top price for a tool but sometimes you need to spend just that little bit extra.

This Apollo model is OK for doing the smaller jobs, but will struggle with anything more than that. We have had many comments from buyers on this review, some of which you may see below. Its worth reading them before you buy any low cost power tool. I would say the Silverline model angle grinder is a better budget option.
