This is really a cross over between a drill an an impact driver. I have this model myself and have used it around the house on many jobs, over many years. I mainly use it as a driver and it does an excellent job. It is one of the best sellers for bosch and I can highly recommend it. This particular package is also great value.

The GDR models have the standard hex bit holder but he GDX's have a combined hex bit holder and 1/2" socket holder, so when we compare the two models we will always favour the GDX

I love this tool. It's neat, easy to use and works really well. The problem i have is that is comes without a Bosch battery or Bosch charger to when you add those on to the cost its much cheaper to buy the PSB 1800 above. If you already have the battery etc though, this is a great tool to add to your collection.

This tool is well into the realms of a fully professional model. Its made for tradesmen, so unless you are going to use this every day then I doubt you will need this level of power or durability. That being said, its the ultimate in the Bosch range. If you want the best then this is it, the torque on this model is massive !

How often are you doing a job that you just cant get a power tool in at ? This Bosch model is the shortest you can get and is extremely handy for awkward jobs in confined spaces. Its powerful enough for most jobs and it would be perfectly good to use as your main, everyday driver. I usually prefer 18V models but would make an exception for this particular tool. Its great.
