Best MDF Primer UK Review

Best MDF Primer UK Review

MDF stands for "mineral fibre density" and it is a man made type of wood that is very popular for these days. It has a smooth finish and is ideal for many applications. We are looking for the best primer for MDF, that will adhere well to the surface and leave a good covering for the top coat to go on to.

MDF is mostly used in furniture because it is just so versatile and is easily cut and shaped. The surface can be awkward enough to paint and it requires a slightly different approach to normal types of wood.

You will need a purpose made primer and plenty have been developed specifically for MDF as it can be awkward to cover and it absorbs any primer really quickly. We will have a look at what's available and discuss what are the best ways of painting MDF, as it can be brush painted, rollered, or sprayed.

A very quick video review

We have looked over all the video reviews and found this great short presentation on how to paint MDF. It gives you an instant idea of what to expect as well as telling you all the features and spec in and easy to understand format.

I hope you enjoy watching it as I always think its much better to see something in action rather than just reading about it or seeing pictures. This guy is particularly good at explaining how this should be done.
