A table saw, or saw bench as its sometimes known, is really just a circular saw blade that's fixed on to a flat table. About half of the blade sticks out through the top of a table and this is what does the cutting. They are really made just for cutting wood.
Most good table saws will allow you to move the blade up and down and that allows you to fix the depth of the cut or cut right through the material. You can also adjust the angle of cut by adjusting the angle of blade.
These are excellent saws for woodworking, especially if you have a lot of accurate cutting to do.

My favourite it the Evolution Rage model, which you can see further down though it's a bit more expensive.

This is by far the best value table saw that we could find. Over 400+ buyers have rated it at 92% satisfaction and only 2% have given it a bad review. When you see the prices of the competing models then this is amazing value. We would definitely recommend this model as it has everything you will need and won't break the bank.

This is the best rated model that we could find online. Yes it is great but it has come second because it is very expensive, is a table top model and is so new that it really hasn't proved itself as yet. This is a big seller for the future I would think.

This is another well priced machine that will do a good job. The last time I checked there were over 3,000+ buyer reviews and lots of satisfied customers. If you want something well priced then this is a good option. It's a bit lightweight compared to the Parker model but will still work well for you.

Here's the most expensive model and of course it's a Makita! Where do I start? It's a table top model so no stand comes with it. It costs a fortune compared to the models we looked at. But... it is the best quality you can find and that's why people buy it. It's not for me, though many people buy it and love it.

If you need a really good table saw and you don’t want to spend a fortune, then Scheppach could be the choice for you . The HS100S 240-volt table saw is a great high-quality design with a powerful 2000 watt motor, that won't break the bank.
Table Saw Buying Tips
As you can see these table saws can range from £150 up to and over £500. Nearly all the models we looked at ran at around 5000 rpm, all had quality blades and all could cut at various angles. In other words, many of the features were the same or pretty similar.
That's really why the cheapest, or best value model as i prefer to say, came out at the top of our rankings. It will do everything you need at a brilliant price and its a very well made tool of great quality. If you are a professional tradesman then you might want to look at the Makita model, especially if you will be using it everyday. Its definitely expensive but then again its a very high quality machine.
Personally the Einhell was my favorite table saw, but i was overruled on this occasion, though I do still think it has a better and stronger feel about it. Also its not that much more expensive.
If you are going to connect a vac to one of these machines we don't recommend that you use a home version. It's always best to have a good quality HD shop vacuum.

A very quick video review
We have looked over all the video reviews and found this great short presentation on table saws. It gives you an instant idea of what to expect as well as telling you all the features and spec in and easy to understand format.
I hope you enjoy watching it as I always think its much better to see a tool in action rather than just reading about it or seeing pictures. This guy is particularly good at explaining the features of the saws and he is well known for demonstrating tools.
