This is a very popular model that packs a good punch at 155nm of power. It's ideal for any user and is suitable for most types of jobs.
This model is around the same price as the top selling DCF887 and is a bit less powerful but is slightly smaller and handier. When I compare the two, I cant see any reason why i would go for this model over the best seller. The DFC887 also has a brushless motor, which is always preferable.

When you compare the specs across the range of Dewalt impact drivers its very easy to get confused. Bascically this is the entry level model and it is greatly down on power compared to the more expensive models
That being said, this is still a terrific tool that will do most jobs around the house with ease. Dont be put off by the lower battery voltage or the power spec because this tool is as much as most DIYers will ever need.
If you just do a few jobs around the house then this could easily be the model for you.
