Best Folding Rule Reviews

Thanks for taking your time to read our reviews on the best folding rule that are currently available on the United Kingdom marketplace.

You might think of this as a very old fashioned type of rule but they are still really popular and are a big seller for some reason. Its probably that they are just so simple, so reliable and they work without having to think. I have always has a wooden type folding ruler and though i don't use it every day, it still gets used quite regularly.

You can buy them for just a few pounds, so they are not expensive. Mine sits at the back of my bench and is always there when I need it and I think its actually a really nice, old style tool to use.

Just below you will see our top 5 list of folding rules. However, we also know you are busy, so if you don't have time to read our full review, we would highly recommend the Stanley 035455 2m Wooden Folding Rule

Folding Rule Conclusions

Although the original folding rule has mainly been superceeded by tape measures, it still has a few advantages. It is much easier to take and transfer inside measurements like doors for instance or cupboards with a folding rule and its much handier than a meter rule.

Tradesmen users will normally open the rule right out and then slide out the brass extension for the remaining distance. This can then be brought to whatever needs to be cut which can then be marked directly and there doesn't need to be any taking down of measurements.

Some folding rules can be up to 3m long so they can also be very handy for measuring above your head without needing a ladder. All in all I think there is still a place for this type of tool amongst all the latest gadgets.

Also have a good look at the multi angle tape. Its an absolutely brilliant tool for marking out, especially for awkward jobs. It really is a good tool, do yourself a favour, if you’re even thinking about buying one of these, just buy it and save yourself time and stress.
