Just below you will see our top list of Grease guns. However, we also know you are busy, so if you don't have time to read our full review, we would highly recommend the best rated CarBole Pistol Grip Grease Gun. Even if you are just going to use this the odd time it's worth spending the money to get something decent. This gun should last you a lifetime and work well every time.
You will notice I haven't included any cheap or budget models, they are just not worth having. I have however included quite a few professional grease guns. These are for everyday use and you can see they are major brands that are built and priced for tradesmen.
Just below, we have also completed some summary reviews on each of these, so as you can see which is the best option for you.
CarBole Pistol Grip Grease Gun
90% buyer satisfaction from over 200+ customer reviews
This is a solidly buit grease gun that is leak proof and pumps grease at pressures up to 8,000 psi
It's made from iron die cast and heavy duty steel that gives a high level of durability
You can easily use the pistol grip with one hand and the rubber sleeve makes it virtually slip free
There is 2 Years Warranty with this model but I don't expect you will ever need that. It's well put together and is a quality tool
Draper 47807 Grease Gun, 500Cc
92% buyer satisfaction from over 100+ customer reviews
This is the cheapest model I could find that's still very good
Draper is an excellent manufacturer and this lever action gun is good enough quality to have in your tool box for ocassional use
It takes the standard 400g grease cartridges and doesn't work just filled with loose grease
A budget price but better than most of the cheaper models. I definitely wouldn't even consider anything cheaper than this. Even just for a one off job.
This model comes with a solid applicator pipe so there's no flexibility and it can be awkward to use
Draper 47813 Heavy Duty Pistol Type Grease Gun
86% buyer satisfaction from over 250+ customer reviews
This is slightly better quality compared tp the cheaper model above
It's made for medium or heavy grease for agricultural or industrial purposes and is a pretty good choice
This can be used for bulk loading or with standard size cartridges
It also, as above, comes with a solid applicator so there's no flexibility and it can be awkward to use. That would not be my choice as a flexible hose is much easier to work with.
Again this is a model for ocassional use. If you are going to be a regular user then go for the Carbole model at the top. It's worth the extra.
Best Professional Grease Gun
Milwaukee M18GG-0 M18 Cordless Grease Gun
96% buyer satisfaction from over 400+ customer reviews
This is a great cordless grease gun that works off rechargeable batteries. You don't getthem in the package so keep that in mine, though they are not too expensive at around £20
There is 562 bar max of operating pressure
You will be able to dispense up to 6 x 400ml grease cartridges in one charge.
Comes with a 1219mm high pressure flex hose with spring guard.
There is an air bleeder valve for priming, and bulk filler valve.
I think this is excellent value and quality for a regular user. It's a big seller and users love it.
Ryobi ONE+ Cordless Grease Gun
96% buyer satisfaction from over 100+ customer reviews
Again this is a battery model that doesnt come with the battery supplied. The genuine batteries are expensive so keep this in mind if you don't already own some Ryobi tools
This model can deliver 10000PSI/690Bar of pressure with a flow rate of 210g/min.
The 76cm hose is flexible and long enough to reach even the most awkward places
It is fully compatible with any brand of 400g grease cartridge or can be manually or bulk filled.
It's a very reasonable price if you already own a battery. There's a lot to be said for sticking to one brand of tools as battery models are taking over.
DEWALT DCGG571M1 18V XR Cordless li-ion Grease Gun
96% buyer satisfaction from over 100+ customer reviews
We are getting into the most expensive models now.
Another cordless model that works off a Dewalt 18v battery. The battery is supplied in this case though it's still not cheap!
I guess you get what you pay for as this model can deliver 10,000 max psi to power through greasing with ease
The high-volume pump pushes up to 5.0 oz/min high-flow applications.
You will get up to 16 cartridges used per charge
It has a variable speed trigger that gives you full control of the grease flow
There is a 42" extra long and flexible hose designed for reaching hard to access grease fittings.
They have thought of every thing right down to an LED light to help in hard to see places
Definitely a top quality piece of kit that anybody would love to own, if they can justify the price. Many people can though and if you work with a lot of machinery then you will love this gun.
Makita DGP180Z 18V Li-ion LXT Grease Gun
94% buyer satisfaction from over 400+ customer reviews
You might think this is a bit better value but you don't get a battery with this model
It also generates 10,000 psi, just the same as the model above so the tow are pretty much on a par for performance
The flexible hose length is 1,200mm so thats much the same compared to The Dewalt model
It also has a variable speed controlled by trigger and will pump at around the same rate
I guess when you are choosing between these last 2 it will come down to what maker you prefer and if you already have any batteries. I would say they are very similar in price, in performance and actually they look and work pretty much the same.
Milwaukee M18GG 18V Cordless Grease Gun
94% buyer satisfaction from over 100+ customer reviews
I found this package that is the same as the first Milwaukee model above really.
It comes with a battery, charger and case and really it works out about the same price when you add everything together.
A very quick video review
We have looked over all the video reviews and found this great short presentation on these tools. It gives you an instant idea of what to expect as well as telling you all the features and spec in and easy to understand format.
I hope you enjoy watching it as I always think its much better to see a tool in action rather than just reading about it or seeing pictures. This guy is particularly good at explaining the features and he is well known for demonstrating tools.
