Ryobi Impact Driver Buying Tips
You really cant go wrong if you are going to buy one of these Ryobi impact drivers. They are one of the best tools on the market and great value for money. There are a few things you need to remember before you make a purchase though.
Many of these will come as "body only" so that means you will have to buy the battery as well. Can I suggest that you buy two batteries at this point? You will never regret it and although they are not cheap, it will make your life so much easier.
All Ryobi tools form part of their ONE+ range. That means that if you own an 18V Ryobi battery it will fit any cordless Ryobi tool. That makes buying Ryobi tools easier as you don't really have to think about which battery and charger to use.
Ryobi do a cordless impact driver starter kit which is excellent value. It includes an impact driver, an 18V 2.0Ah battery, a charger, two impact bits, a 3/8" socket adaptor and a tool bag. You can then use that battery and charger to buy any other Ryobi cordless tools as a "tool only" option, making those a great deal cheaper. There are around 100+ tools now available.
Their impact drivers are good quality and suitable for jobs like decking, fencing and roofing. They can be used for any job that required using larger fixings, coach bolts and long screws. They are more powerful and faster than a cordless drill/driver.
You should really only buy an impact driver if you need to work on the tougher jobs or if you have a need to drive in long screws or heavier duty bolts on decks and fences. I have a Makita magnetic bit holder that I use when I am putting in a lot of screws and I can't recommend this type of accessory highly enough. Everybody should have one of these tools. Just makes any job so much easier.
